Project T is the quieter, research side of Kamiya House: a think tank, research hub and history collection for Tōei. It is not a separate venue, booking brand or fundraising page — it is where we keep notes, sources, memories and ideas about how a small mountain town can carry on.
Project Tは、カミヤハウスの中にある研究の場です。東栄町のためのシンクタンク、研究ハブ、歴史アーカイブ。別会場でも宿泊ブランドでも募金ページでもありません。小さな山の町がこれからも続いていくための記録、資料、記憶、アイデアを置いておく場所です。
Where the name came from.
名前の由来。
Project T was coined by Shem Booth-Spain in November 2025, when representatives from Ama Town (海士町, Oki Islands) visited Tōei and spoke at Kura Retreat Daikokuten. Mid-talk, a line landed that stuck: regenerating a shrinking mountain town isn’t a one-off project — it’s a long practice of place, people, and proof. He named that practice Project T — T for Tōei, and for the long game. It now lives here as the think tank, research hub, and history collection nested under Kamiya House.
Project T（プロジェクトT）という名は、2025年11月、島根・海士町の関係者が東栄町を訪れ、蔵ダイコクテンで話をした場で、シェム・ブーススペインが名付けたものです。過疎の山村を再生するのは一度きりの「事業」ではなく、土地・人・証拠を積み重ねる長い実践だ——その一言が残り、Project T（Tは東栄／Toei、そして長期戦）となりました。いまは上屋ハウスの下に置かれたシンクタンク・研究ハブ・歴史アーカイブとして、このサイトに生きています。

- Place — start from Tōei itself: the house, the valley, the town as it is.
- People — listen first; record what neighbours and elders are willing to share, with their permission.
- Proof — cite sources, date everything, and mark what is still unverified.
- 土地 — 東栄そのものから。家、谷、いまの町。
- 人 — まず聞くこと。近所の方や年長の方が話してくださることを、許可を得て記録します。
- 証拠 — 出典を示し、日付を入れ、未確認のものはそう明記します。
